2-PUBG Mobile India APK appears on official website, here is everything we know about it
Some users spotted the APK and Google PlayStore download links on PUBG Mobile India's website briefly. The former link led to a predated announcement while the latter redirected users to PUBG Mobile India’s Facebook page, as per reports.
It was an exciting and emotional moment for Indian PUBG players when they spotted the APK and Google PlaySTore download links on PUBG Mobile India's official website on Friday. The links did not work. They, however, raise a lot of speculation that developers were giving final touch-ups to the website. There has been no official word from PUBG Corporation on the date of the official launch of PUBG Mobile India yet. However, it is speculated a lot of things will become clear on the official Facebook page of the site when they are reportedly expected to conduct a press conference on November 24. So far, a lot of developments have been brought by the company to only strengthen the speculations of the launch that may happen soon.
-- On Friday, the APK download link of PUBG Mobile India briefly appeared for some users for a few hours on the site. The website showed two download options, out of which the first one led to an APK download link and the second led to the Google Play store. The former link led to a predated announcement while the latter redirected users to PUBG Mobile India’s Facebook page, as per reports. This, however, raised speculation that the official site is testing the bandwidth before the official launch of PUBG Mobile India.
-- PUBG Mobile India has made changes in hopes to make it a win-win situation. Firstly, Krafton, PUBG’s parent company, which severed ties with Tencent, will store the data of Indian users locally. Krafton signed a deal with Microsoft to store the user data on Azure Cloud servers, some of which are installed in India. This would mean that the data of Indian users will be stored on these servers, which is in line with the government’s data localisation policy. As per reports, some users noted that the developers were transferring data from PUBG Mobile to PUBG Mobile India servers as the users were greeted with an “account data migration” message.
-- Pre-registration for PUBG Mobile India is already going on for select Android and iOS users on the Tap game sharing community. The listing says that the game will be available in English as well as in Hindi. PUBG Mobile India pre-registrations have started and some teasers have been released.
-- PUBG Mobile India will be in line with Indian sensibilities. The avatars will be fully clothed and a green liquid will replace the blood that will be shown when an enemy is shot dead. Moreover, a time-limit will be set on the game to counter the addictive nature of the game.
-- Reports have also noted that the new game, that is PUBG Mobile India will be able to recognise and allow the use of the old IDs of users who played PUBG Global. This would be convenient for the users as they can get some sort of continuity in the game. This will also mean that in-game purchases made in the global version will also be carried forward to the Indian version.

3-BSNL in talks with Vi for 4G Intra Circle Roaming pacts
Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is reportedly in talks with Vodafone India that was freshly rebranded as Vi for or Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) pacts.
Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is reportedly in talks with Vodafone India that was freshly rebranded as Vi for Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) pacts. Vi, in exchange, has reportedly demanded 10,000 kilometers of fibre connectivity. As of now, the two telcos are looking at bringing in ICR plans in two circles, especially in Rajasthan. As per reports, nation-wide arrangements for the ICR pacts will be brought about in a similar manner.
Where development of the 4G rollout is concerned, the Empowered Technology Group (ETG)’s Principal Scientific Advisor K Vijay Raghavan, is expected to discuss BSNL’s plans to roll out 4G services, including the tender, sources told the Business Line. The ETG was earlier slated to meet either on November 20 and November 23.
BSNL Chairman and Managing Director PK Purwar, who would also attend the meeting, will seek a Proof of Concept (POC) on the viability of 4G from the ETG. The ETG was set up in India to advise the ministry regarding new technology and procurement strategy with indigenous ways and methods for selected key technologies.
An internal committee by DoT has noted that for BSNL’s upcoming tender for over 50,000 4G sites that BSNL divert its focus and spending away from 2G and 3G, and use domestic gear vendors for deploying 4G-only radio and core network. BSNL opposed the suggestions saying it generates 60 per cent of its revenue from 2G. BSNL is looking to upgrade existing 49,300 base transceiver stations (BTSs) to support 4G.
BSNL is planning to provide its mobile and landline services to users in Delhi and Mumbai. BSN hopes to generate revenue from the customers of metro cities as it could begin services from January 1. Currently, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) is the government’s provider for mobile and landline services in Delhi and Mumbai. The details of the tariff are not clear at the moment but subscription and recharge plans could likely end up being the same as what MTNL charges right now.
Earlier this month, the Ministry of Communications made it mandatory for all Ministries, Government departments and the central public sector to mandatorily use BSNL and MTNL networks for internet, broadband, landline and leased line connectivity.

4- OnePlus 9 series specs leaked; to feature wide, ultra-wide 48MP sensors, bigger screen
OnePlus 9 series seems to be heading for the markets ahead of schedule and we even have a good look at what to expect. OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 9 series - comprising the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro - in March next year, which is a month earlier than the usual refresh cycle for the company.
In the OnePlus 9 Pro, according to Onleaks, OnePlus has opted to merge the basic designs of the 8 Pro and the 8T , both released this year. Unlike the OnePlus 8 Pro, the top-end OnePlus 9 series device will swap the centered camera module for a left-mounted one, just akin to those in 8T and the Nord. Apparently, four camera sensors will be within that module, somewhat similar to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
Ahead of the rumoured launch, OnePlus 9 camera specifications have also been leaked by 91Mobiles. According to the leaked inputs, OnePlus 9 will feature a triple-camera setup, which will come with a 48MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide sensor. The leaked live images also show that there is a third sensor, which is smaller in size compared to the main and the ultra-wide lens. Details of this third sensor are unknown at the moment. Next to the camera sensors is the dual-LED flash that is placed inside the rectangular module.
The leaked image is similar to the recently leaked CAD renders of the OnePlus 9, which had also revealed that the OnePlus 9 will come with a larger screen compared to the OnePlus 8T, which sports a 6.55-inch display.
OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are expected to come packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 SoC, 65W fast charging and 45W wireless charging, dual stereo-speaker setup, NFC, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The leaked specs are solely based on speculations and rumours, and we would suggest our readers to be circumspect while forming opinions and making decisions.

5-Facebook Messenger bug gave access to hackers before users picked up the call, now fixed
The vulnerability was similar to a bug discovered in FaceTime's group call feature last year. However, Facebook confirmed that the vulnerability has never been exploited.
Facebook Messenger for Android had a bug that would let hackers call users and listen to them even before they picked up the call. The bug in Messenger attracted $60,000 from Facebook’s bug bounty programme which has been in place for the past decade. It was discovered by Natalie Silvanovich of Google's Project Zero bug-hunting team. Silvanovich, who has been researching other video applications noted that so far four bugs have been fixed as a result in Signal, Mocha, JioChat, as well as Facebook Messenger.
The bug in Facebook Messenger for Android app has now been fixed. According to Wired, the vulnerability was difficult to exploit as it required that both the attacker and target be logged into Facebook for Android. It also required the victim to be logged into Messenger in a web browser or some other way. The caller and recipient would also need to be Facebook friends. Moreover, They would also require to use reverse engineering tools to manipulate their own Messenger application to force it to send a custom message.
"What you would see is the attacker calling you and then the phone ringing and they could listen until you pick up or the call times out," Dan Gurfinkel, Facebook's security engineering manager said in a blog post. "We quickly patched this before it was exploited."
Facebook confirmed that the vulnerability had never been exploited because no logs contained evidence of the strategic protocol messages attackers would need to send. As per reports, Facebook adjusted its own server-side infrastructure to instantly fix the flaw for all users rather than issuing a patch for the mobile app.
The Facebook Messenger bug was similar to the Facetime bug discovered by a 14-year old last year that let hackers call the victim and listen to the users surrounding even before they picked up the call. The Apple Group FaceTime feature had a bug that enabled iPhone users using the feature to call their friends to listen in on their conversations even if their call had not been picked up. Apple soon followed through with a software fix for the bug. However, reports note the Messenger calls would be difficult to exploit because of the caveat of the caller and the callee being Facebook friends.
Earlier this year Facebook rolled out Messenger rooms for up to 50 participants. However, Facebook in one of its support pages noted that Rooms is not end-to-end encrypted.
"Rooms is built on Messenger, so it uses the same technology to encrypt a video and audio conversation between people as it travels from their devices to our servers that we have placed in only a handful of countries that have strong rule of law. Rooms are not end-to-end encrypted. While there are significant challenges to providing end-to-end encryption for video calling with large groups of people, we’re actively working toward this for Messenger and Rooms," Facebook noted.
